We are thrilled to share the success of the latest SOFAR Project training event, which took place in Oeiras, Portugal from 18-22 November 2024. This inspiring initiative, coordinated by Gazi University in Turkey, aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship in social agriculture. Gazi University is set to pioneer the introduction of social agriculture in Turkey, marking an exciting step forward for the project.

During this week-long event, participants from Portugal, Turkey, Slovenia, and Germany had the opportunity to collaborate internationally, exchange ideas, and explore innovative solutions to strengthen ties and enhance our shared mission. The enriching programme highlighted the importance of social agriculture in fostering inclusion and sustainability.

Our host, Semear, curated a memorable experience, including visits to impactful social agriculture projects in collaboration with the Oeiras Municipality

This event was made possible by the support of the Erasmus Plus Programme, which empowers cross-border initiatives to drive positive change. We are excited about the momentum we’ve built and look forward to continuing this important work together.
